FAQ
What is "force free"?
Force-free training is simply the method of working with animals without using force, coercion, threats, intimidation or inflicting pain (eg. shock collars, choke chains, etc). The use of humane techniques and being kind to your critters helps establish a healthy relationship!
What does "R+" stand for?
R+ stands for positive reinforcement! But it is also known by reward / science-based or pain free training. This approach focuses on setting animals up for success by rewarding and reinforcing desirable behaviours positively - rather than punishing undesirable ones.
What does "fear free" mean?
This concept means working with animals in a way that is free of fear, anxiety and stress! Fear free professionals recognize that all animals have unique needs and personalities - and we work to tailor our care to every single individual animal. Always ensuring emotional wellbeing!
What is your experience?
I've been involved in the animal industry for 13+ years - 7 part time and 6 full time. From doggy daycare, rescues, walking, to in person training programs! I strive to stay up to date in both the companion care / dog training world & have multiple certifications (peep the blue banner).
